Dear all,
The Turkish Cypriots have declared a General Strike on the 28th January, 2011 and are organizing a mass rally in Nicosia to protest against the austerity measures imposed by Turkey. They are organizing these mass mobilizations to put a halt to the ongoing curtailment of their standard of living. At the same time though, they know it only too well that without a Solution of the Cyprus problem and without the re-unification of our country there can be no real end to their economic hardship.
The have asked for our solidarity to their struggle. At this moment in time when the Turkish Cypriots are once more out into the streets the Greek Cypriots, in fact all Cypriots, declare that they shall not leave them to walk alone this time. We pledge to fight along with them for the common cause: For a common future, for a peaceful and prosperous future for the generations of Cypriots to come!

ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήΟι Τουρκοκύπριοι έχουν κηρύξει Γενική Απεργία για τις 28 Ιανουαρίου, 2011 και διοργανώνουν μαζικό συλλαλητήριο στη Λευκωσία για να διαμαρτυρηθούν κατά των μέτρων λιτότητας που επέβαλε ο Έρογλου κι η Τουρκία. Πραγματοποιούν μαζικές κινητοποιήσεις αγωνιζόμενοι να σταματήσει η συνεχής πτώση του βιοτικού τους επιπέδου, ταυτόχρονα όμως, πολύ καλά γνωρίζουν ότι χωρίς λύση του κυπριακού προβλήματος που ταλανίζει το νησί μας η Κύπρος και χωρίς την επανένωση της χώρας μας δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει πραγματικό τέλος στην οικονομική δυσπραγία και τα μέτρα λιτότητας.
Ζητούν την αλληλεγγύη μας στον αγώνα τους. Σε αυτή τη χρονική στιγμή στην οποία οι Τουρκοκύπριοι είναι πάλι έξω στους δρόμους, οι Ελληνοκύπριοι και όλοι οι Κύπριοι, ας δηλώσουμε ότι δεν θα τους αφήσουμε να περπατήσουν μόνοι τους αυτή τη φορά. Ας δεσμευτούμε ότι θα αγωνιστούμε όλοι μαζί για την επίτευξη του κοινού μας σκοπού: Για ένα κοινό μέλλον, για ένα μέλλον ειρήνης και ευημερίας για τις γενιές των Κυπρίων που θα έρθουν!
